Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: [DATE]
hars.ai is for making films that inform, delight and tell stories. This policy lists what you may not use it for. It applies to your ideas and scripts, to the films you make and to how you use them. It incorporates the usage policies of our AI and voice providers (Anthropic's Usage Policy and ElevenLabs' Prohibited Use Policy); if they are stricter, they apply too.
1. Never allowed
- Child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexualises, grooms or exploits minors.
- Sexually explicit content, and any sexual or intimate depiction of a real person.
- Deceptive impersonation: films that present a real person, brand or organisation as saying or doing something they did not, or that imitate a real person's voice or likeness, without their consent. This includes "deepfakes" and fake endorsements.
- Content that promotes or incites violence, terrorism or violent extremism, or that attacks people based on protected characteristics.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, doxxing, or content that encourages self-harm, suicide or eating disorders.
- Misinformation presented as fact, including fake news reports, fabricated evidence, false medical or scientific claims, and content designed to mislead voters or interfere with elections.
- Fraud and scams: phishing, fake documents, counterfeit goods, pyramid schemes or deceptive advertising.
- Instructions or promotion of weapons capable of mass casualties, illegal drugs, or other illegal activity.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights, such as reproducing song lyrics, films or artwork you do not have permission to use.
- Malware or attempts to attack, probe, overload or bypass the security or limits of the service, including prompt injection aimed at our systems.
2. Allowed with care
- Education, news explainers and commentary about real events and public figures are welcome when they are accurate and not presented as the person's own words.
- Health, legal and financial explainers must be general information, not personalised advice, and should be reviewed by a qualified person before you publish them.
- Satire and parody must be clearly recognisable as such.
3. Disclosure
Films are generated with AI. Do not present a film as filmed footage of real events or as the work of a human voice actor. Follow the AI-content disclosure rules of the platforms where you publish (for example YouTube, Instagram and TikTok) and of the law where you live.
4. Enforcement
We check requests automatically and may review content. We may refuse a request, stop a render, remove a film, limit features, or suspend or close an account, without a refund where the breach is serious. We report child sexual abuse material and credible threats to the authorities.
To report a film made with the service, email [ABUSE EMAIL] with a link or description.
