These terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] about your use of hars.ai. Please read them with our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, which form part of them.
hars.ai is operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], a [COMPANY TYPE] registered in [JURISDICTION] with its registered office at [REGISTERED ADDRESS] ([REGISTRATION NUMBER / CIN], [GSTIN if applicable]) ("we", "us"). You can reach us through the details on our Contact page.
By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm you may bind that organisation to them.
hars.ai turns ideas and scripts you provide into animated films. Films are produced by AI systems: large language models (including Claude, provided by Anthropic) write the script and the code that draws each frame, and third-party text-to-speech services (such as ElevenLabs) produce narration.
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or unexpected. Factual statements in a script or film should not be relied on without checking them. You are responsible for reviewing a film, including any factual claims, before you publish or rely on it.
We may change, add or remove features. We will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce a paid plan you have already paid for.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if higher, to create an account and to buy a subscription. The service is not directed at children.
You must give accurate information, confirm your email address, keep your password secure and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity under your account. One person may not hold several free accounts to get more free usage.
Plans and their limits (minutes of film per billing period, maximum film length, styles, resolution and concurrent renders) are described on our Pricing page. Usage is counted in seconds of finished film; failed or cancelled renders are not counted. Unused minutes do not roll over to the next period.
Paid plans are subscriptions billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment provider ([Razorpay / Stripe]). Prices are shown before you pay and include or exclude taxes as stated at checkout; applicable taxes such as GST may be added.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. Where the law requires it (for example, card e-mandates in India), we or our payment provider will notify you before each renewal charge and you can cancel the mandate at any time.
You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
If a payment fails we may retry it and may pause or downgrade your plan to Free until it succeeds.
You keep all rights you have in the ideas, scripts, text and other material you submit ("Inputs"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process and transmit your Inputs and films only as needed to provide, secure and support the service, including sending them to the AI and voice providers listed in our Privacy Policy.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit your Inputs and that they, and your use of the films, comply with these terms and the law. We do not use your Inputs or films to train AI models.
As between you and us, and subject to these terms and to your plan, you own the films the service produces for you ("Outputs"), to the extent any rights exist in them.
Films made on the Free plan are for personal, non-commercial use only and carry a "Made with hars.ai" watermark that you must not remove. Films made while on a paid plan may be used commercially, including after you cancel.
Because Outputs are generated by AI, similar or identical outputs may be produced for other users, and some jurisdictions may not grant copyright in AI-generated material. We do not promise that an Output is unique or protectable. Where you publish films, you are responsible for any disclosure that the content is AI-generated required by a platform or by law.
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy, which includes the usage rules of our AI and voice providers. We may refuse to generate, stop rendering, remove or disable access to content that we reasonably believe breaks it, and we may suspend or close accounts that do. We may report illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, to the authorities.
The service relies on third-party providers (including Anthropic, ElevenLabs, our payment provider, email provider and hosting providers). Their availability can affect ours. Where a provider's terms require it, you agree that the provider may enforce the restrictions in these terms and our Acceptable Use Policy as a third-party beneficiary.
We work to keep the service available and renders reliable, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". Render times vary with film length, style and demand. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a given idea can be turned into a film.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability arising from the service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, or [AMOUNT] if you have paid nothing.
[Lawyer to review: consumer-protection carve-outs for the jurisdictions you sell into.]
You can delete your account at any time from Settings; this permanently deletes your projects and films. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect the service or other users. If we end a paid plan for reasons other than your breach, we will refund the unused part of the period.
We may update these terms. We will give at least 14 days' notice of material changes by email or in the app. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW]. The courts of [VENUE] have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live. [Lawyer to review.]
